That is how we feel about musical theatre. Musical theatre is the only truly American art form, other than Jazz. We are driven by a passion for musical theatre, a passion to celebrate this art form with others and a passion to pass this American tradition on to the next generation. Musical theatre makes us laugh, cry, feel like dancing and maybe even hum a familiar tune as we leave the theatre. It uplifts, enlightens and entertains. San Diego Musical Theatre will produce professional, year round musical theatre of the highest caliber for San Diego audiences. We are committed to presenting, preserving, producing and promoting, with passion, musical theatre that ignites the human spirit.
San Diego Musical Theatre’s premiere season includes three productions. Since ticket sales alone only cover 40%-60% of production costs, we must rely on the generous support of individuals and businesses.
We invite you to help us have a successful season by joining San Diego Musical Theatre’s Production Guild. San Diego Musical Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible. Because we are a volunteer organization, 100% of your donation will go directly toward the production costs.
